My Hero Academia Season 8 Shares Intense New Trailer for Final Episodes

My Hero Academia is coming back later this Fall with the eighth and the final season of the TV anime, and now fans have gotten a new look at what to expect with an intense new trailer for the final episodes. My Hero Academia has been working its way through the final war between the heroes and villains as of Season 7, and with those episodes brought many of the key fights to their respective ends. Now as we wait for the final season, it’s down to the final fights against Tomura Shigaraki and All For One before the heroes can have a happy ending.

My Hero Academia ended Season 7 of the anime with a cliffhanger setting up both Deku and All Might for their fights against Shigaraki and All For One, and now it’s time to see how these fights are going to reach their final conclusion. As we get closer to its release later this Fall, My Hero Academia has dropped a new look at what to expect from the final season with an intense new trailer. Highlighting Pornograffiti’s new theme song for the final season, “The REVO,” and the fact that the band is coming back after their debut in the firt season, you can check it out below.

When Does My Hero Academia’s Final Season Release?

My Hero Academia FINAL SEASON will be officially making its debut in Japan on October 4th as part of the Fall 2025 anime schedule, and the new episodes will be exclusively streaming with Crunchyroll when they hit. The new episodes will be directed by a returning Naomi Nakayama for studio Bones with Yosuke Kuroda returning to handle the seriesโ€™ scripts, Kenji Nagasaki serving as chief director, Yoshihiko Umakoshi and Hitomi Odashima providing the character designs, and Yuki Hayashi composing the music. The voice cast will all be returning for their respective roles too.

There have been some questions about My Hero Academia’s TV anime will be ending considering that series creator Kohei Horikoshi has returned for new epilogue chapters in the year since the manga first ended its run with Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. Teasing fans with a message during Anime Expo 2025 earlier this Summer, Horikoshi will be adding new materials for the anime, “Now that My Hero Academiaโ€™s manga has ended, I have been able to work more closely with the production studio on the anime and the production process,” Horikoshi stated. “Iโ€™ve had the chance to suggest adding extra scenes and emotional layers to the performances.”

How to Catch Up With My Hero Academia

With the final season coming later this October, it’s now the perfect time to catch up with everything that’s happened in My Hero Academia thus far. If you wanted to do so, you can check out the first seven seasons of the TV anime, OVA specials, and even a few movies streaming with Crunchyroll, Hulu and Netflix. Both Japanese and English language versions of the anime are available, so there are lots of options to catch up before the final season kicks off.

If you want even more of My Hero Academia, there’s a full spinoff anime series that premiered earlier this Spring too. My Hero Academia: Vigilantes takes place years before the events of the main series, and has some very notable ties to the anime’s present day events. It has also announced that a Season 2 of the anime is in the works as well.
