While the anime continues to make strides in terms of its animation, One Piece has lately also spread its wings as a live-action franchise, with an ever-growing audience looking forward to its next installment. Despite most live-action adaptations of anime falling short, Netflix’s live-action One Piece has been nothing short of a huge success, with the series now setting a course for Season 2 in 2026.

From passing through Logue Town to finally entering the Grand Line and kicking off the grand Alabasta Saga, there’s much to look forward to in Season 2 of Netflix’s One Piece. This includes not only new locations and challenges, but also the introduction of many new faces, such as Crocodile, Nico Robin, Vivi, and many more. Fans have already been introduced to many of these characters in the latest teasers for Season 2, however, there’s still many crucial faces that fans yet to see, and Netflix’s One Piece absolutely has to reveal them before Season 2 appears on the horizon.
10) Crocus

Season 2 of Netflix’s live-action One Piece is set to take off with the Logue Town Arc and subsequently the Straw Hats entering the fearsome Grand Line, where they will first be greeted by Laboon and Crocus. Fans have already gotten a small glimpse at live-action Laboon in the new trailer, though Crocus, who will be played by Clive Russell, has yet to make even a cameo in the promotional material. Given how important Crocus is and how crucial the information he shares with the Straw Hats is in the grand scheme of things, there’s a lot riding on him in the live action, and hopefully, fans get to meet him soon enough.
9) Hiruluk

One of the biggest things to look forward to in Season 2 of One Piece’s live-action is the Drum Island Arc, which will finally introduce the Straw Hats’ emergency food supply and resident doctor, Tony Tony Chopper. That said, the Drum Island Arc would be incomplete without Chopper’s tear-jerking backstory with Dr. Hiruluk, played by Mark Harelik in the live action, who fans have also yet to catch a glimpse of.
8) Dorry

While only a pit stop on the way to Alabasta, the Little Garden Arc is arguably what sets Usopp’s journey of becoming a brave warrior of the sea in One Piece into motion, with the main catalyst for this being the Straw Hats’ meeting with Dorry and Brogy. So far, fans have only gotten a look at Brogy, who makes a brief appearance in the new Season 2 trailer, and hopefully, fans will soon also be introduced to Dorry, who will be played by Werner Coetser.
7) Kureha

While the internet initially wanted Jamie Lee Curtis for the role, it’s hard to argue with Netflix’s choice of Katey Sagal to play Kureha, another major star of the Drum Island Arc. Other than being Chopper’s mentor, Dr. Kureha also drops many of the biggest revelations of the series, including the first-ever mention of the “Will of D” making her a character with many secrets, even a thousand chapters and episodes later, and hopefully fans get to meet her soon enough.
6) Wapol

Wapol serves as the main antagonist of the Drum Island Arc, and though he doesn’t pose as serious a threat as Crocodile or even any of the opponents Luffy has faced so far in the live-action, he is by no means a throwaway character. That said, he’s also one of the early examples of just how wacky One Piece’s character designs can get, which, together with his even wackier devil fruit, pose quite a challenge for the live-action series. It will be interesting to see whether the series can nail the CGI in this regard, and whether Rob Colletti’s performance manages to capture Wapol’s particularly despicable and cowardly personality, so hopefully, he makes a cameo in a teaser soon enough.
5) The Kung-Fu Dugongs

Worldbuilding is widely regarded as One Piece’s biggest strength and an area in which it has no discernible equal, and one of the earliest and cutest examples of this is the kung-fu dugongs that the Straw Hats encounter at Alabasta. The desert island comes with a lot of unique wildlife, and the dugongs are only one of many, though they are easily the most memorable. Hopefully, One Piece’s live-action will also include the Straw Hats’ adorable encounter with the dugongs, and Luffy’s training session with them, especially given Iñaki Godoy’s very Luffy-esque love for manatees.
4) Crocodile

Sir Crocodile is easily one of the characters fans are most excited to meet in Season 2 of Netflix’s live-action One Piece. The series could not have chosen anyone better than Joe Manganiello, who has already won fans over in the various events and promotions the series has released so far. Now, all that remains is to see him with Crocodile’s signature slicked-back hair, scar, and cigar, though he was sadly absent from the latest trailer. It makes sense that the series may be building suspense for a big reveal later on, though its hard to say if fans will be able to wait much longer.
3) Ace

Despite making an appearance as early as the Drum Island Arc in One Piece, Netflix has oddly yet to confirm the casting for Ace in the live-action series, much less have him make an appearance in any promos or teasers so far. There have been rumors that Xolo Maridueña could be cast for the role, and perfect as he would be, without any confirmation from Netflix, it’s unclear whether fans will get to see Ace at all in Season 2, which would be a major bummer.
2) Bon Clay

If you thought that Vivi’s the only Straw Hat candidate going to be introduced in Season 2 of Netflix’s live-action One Piece, then you’d be sorely wrong, because there’s still one other major contender, Bon Clay. Albeit introduced as an antagonist at first, Bon Clay quickly turns into an ally of the Straw Hats, winning fans over just as easily as he does the Straw Hats. That said, much like Ace, Netflix has yet to confirm the casting for Bon Clay, casting doubt on his introduction in Season 2.
1) Karoo

While fans may have forgiven Chouchou being cut out of the Orange Town Arc in Season 1, it would be absolutely unforgivable if Netflix’s live-action One Piece left out Karoo and the Supersonic Duck Squadron. The sassy yet adorable giant duck serves as Vivi’s closest companion in One Piece and has come to be incredibly loved by fans over the years, being just as popular a mascot as Chopper, Laboon, the kung-fu dugongs from Alabasta, and the lapins from Drum Island.
Netflix has already given fans a glimpse at live-action Chopper, with many fans being reasonably satisfied with his portrayal and the CGI. Now all that remains is to see whether Netflix’s One Piece will be able to bring Karoo into live-action just as well, and it might just be a dealbreaker. Plus, the merch potential for Karoo in particular is off the charts, and there’s nothing wrong with a scene-stealing duck sidekick to win additional fans over.
