Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle is now closer than ever to its streaming and DVD/Blu-ray release as the film’s theatrical run is finally coming to an end. The newest film in Koyoharu Gotoge’s massively successful franchise has been such a hit in Japan that it remained exclusive to theaters throughout 2025. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle has now released a final trailer for the film as it prepares for its final stretch in theaters. Outlining its final few weeks in theaters with special gifts to fans who have been supporting the film this entire time, it looks like it’s finally going to end its run in theaters this April. That means we’ll then be one step closer to watching the feature film on streaming platforms or even a potential physical Blu-ray/DVD release.

Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle to Finally End Theater Run in Japan

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle has revealed it will be entering its final run in theaters across Japan, and outlined its final weeks with a few special gifts only available to those fans who return to see it in the final outings. The schedule of gifts ends on April 9th, and that likely gives us the date that the film will finally stop releasing in theaters. It’s a big move for the film that has been making a ton of money since it launched in Japan last Summer, and fans are still waiting to see what’s next.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle is also making its return to theaters in the United States and Canada this Spring too. Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures will be bringing the upgraded Screen X version of the film to fans in the region on March 6th, but has yet to reveal how long it’s going to be sticking around. Either way, it’s clear that the first Infinity Castle film is finally slowing down and it’s time to be ready for what’s coming down the pipeline next. And fans have been waiting for it.

Now that Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle is going to be ending its run in theaters, it’s not going to be much longer before it gets a streaming release. With another major Crunchyroll film from last year releasing on streaming this Spring, fans might not have to wait much longer for this one. But more importantly, this also means that the focus will finally shift to the now in the works second film in the Infinity Castle trilogy. The promotional train can finally start moving in full.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle Part 2 has yet to announce a release window or date, but a recent reveal from Ufotable confirmed that the film is not slated to launch until 2027 at the very earliest. It’s outlined as one of the studio’s future projects that they are working on right now, but not as one of the projects they plan to reveal more of in 2026. We’ll see how that shakes out as the year continues.
