Halo Master Chief 20th Anniversary Funko Pop Exclusive Pre-Orders Are Available Now
Halo Infinite finally hit PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on December 8th, but the latest Funko Pop from the Halo lineup is looking to the past to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the series. The Pop figure depicts Master Chief in his original MJOLNIR Mark V armor with a unique matte black colorway that's inspired by the Halo 20th Anniversary emblem. You'll find this logo on the packaging as part of the Xbox Gear Shop exclusive sticker.
Indeed, the Master Chief with MA5B Assault Rifle 20th anniversary Funko Pop is an exclusive that will be available to pre-order right here at the Xbox Gear Shop starting today, December 28th at 9am PST / 12pm EST. It will be available individually and as part of a bundle that will include an exclusive 20th anniversary mug with a special metallic printing treatment and a black-and-gold 20th anniversary keychain. There will be a three unit limit per customer on both options, and the release date is expected to be April 29th, 2022. Quantities will be limited, so when it sells out you'll have to grab one here on eBay.
As for Halo Infinite, the game was originally slated to be an Xbox series X/S launch title in November of last year. 343 Industries has faced numerous setbacks – not the least of which being the ongoing pandemic. This delay is probably why we got our first wave of Halo Infinite Funko Pops in September of 2020 and a second wave in November of 2021.
The latest Funko Pops in the Halo Infinite wave include a Grunt Conscript with Plasma Pistol, the Spartan Mark V [B] with Energy Sword (if you're lucky you'll get the Red Energy Sword Chase), and a 6-inch Super Sized Escharum with Gravity Axe. Pre-orders for all of these Halo Funko Pop figures are live here at Entertainment Earth now. As far as exclusives are concerned, the Spartan Grenadier with HMG Pop pictured below is available here at Best Buy now. In other Halo merch news, on the final day of Pulse Con 2021, Hasbro unveiled a new Nerf baster based on the iconic Needler from the Halo video game series. A Microshots version of the Needler was launched back in February, but the new version joins their LMTD line alongside premium blasters like the Aliens 35 Anniversary M41-A Blaster and The Mandalorian Amban Phase-Pulse Blaster.
If you are unfamiliar, Nerf's LMTD line is focused on delivering high-end blasters based on iconic weapons from popular movies and video games. Needless to say, few video game weapons are more iconic than Halo's Needler. Features of the new battery-operated blaster (6AA) include a 10-dart Nerf Elite drum, flexible needles that light up when you grip the handle. When you fire the darts, the needles will go dark to simulate the weapon in the game.
